Vin Diesel behind the wheel again: The fourth part of Fast & Furious provides the audience once again a lot of crap, a loadful of hot metal sheet and a variety of cool cars.
Quick cars, quick money: Vin Diesel is still into the same interests after his escape as speed-racer Dom Toretto. This time he snitches some fuel from a road tanker – while he is driving. When it finally comes to a death toll, L.A. is the scenery for a reunion between Vin Diesel and Paul Walker as cool cop Brian O´Conner. The two unlikely heroes get involved in a fight with a superior drug syndicate. But untill it comes to that, there are still some ways to go – ways, on which Dom & Co burn some tyres on the roads between Mexico and California. Next to the burning rubber and some fancy car chases the real stars of the movie, the cars, are pressing the audience into its seats. Director of „Fast & Furious – New Model. Original Parts“ was Justin Lin, who already made the „Tokyo Drift“. Boiling concrete, highspeed stunts and cool hp-cars next to an explosiv storytelling already show some signs at the box office: the fourth part of the action-series made 72,5 mio. US-dollars on his first weekend – the best movie-start of the year so far and the best start for a movie coming out in April. In Germany more than 650.000 spectators came to the cinema to see „Fast & The Furious 4“ at the first weekend.
